I'm off to Wilmington this morning! The NC Battleship Half Marathon is tomorrow morning. Hoping that all my training pays off and I can set a PR.

I have been running through my check list all morning, since the temperatures have dropped dramatically in the last 48 hours, I feel like I should have some back up clothes in case needed.

Well wish me good thoughts tomorrow, as luck cannot pull me through this one ;)

And let's pray my Omnipod Insulin Pump doesn't decide to fall off at mile 4 like it usually does.

Here's to a slow & steady race....

Off to eat some yummy protein pancakes Mike made!

And So It Begins

Well I can happily say I have started training for my second Half Marathon! Just a few days into it and I am now remembering why I invested in new running shoes. My hopes are to excel in finishing and set a PR. I hope to finish in 2:10 but that shaves a good 10 minutes off my time during the Thunder Road Half Marathon in Charlotte. Quite the hilly excursion!

I can say, with good intent, that I never imagined my body would be able to pull me through such a rigorous event, but I was quite impressed with the completion upon crossing the finish line. Not what i had imagined as far as time & pace go, however, I need to just let it go.
